Raid Sentinel is a complete monitoring and alert system for ARK: Survival Ascended players and server owners. The solution consists of three integrated components: a game plugin that monitors server activity and detects raids, a robust backend infrastructure that processes and manages alerts, and a Flutter-based mobile application that delivers real-time notifications to users. Server owners can subscribe to the service through a dedicated web portal, enabling them to offer raid detection services to their players.
The Challenge
The client needed to build a comprehensive monitoring system that integrates with ARK: Survival Ascended game servers, requiring real-time data processing, reliable notification delivery, and a monetization platform for server owners. The challenge was to develop a game plugin that could detect structure changes and raids, a scalable backend to process and route alerts, a mobile app for end users, and a subscription-based web portal for server owners — all working seamlessly together.
Our Solution
We developed a multi-component solution starting with a custom ARK game plugin that monitors server events and structure changes in real-time. We built a robust backend API that processes game events, integrates with the Twitch API for stream monitoring, and manages alert distribution. We created a Flutter mobile application that receives push notifications for raids, tracks player activity, and provides server search functionality. We also developed a web portal (server.raidsentinel.es) where server owners can purchase monthly subscriptions, manage server configurations, and access analytics. The entire system is integrated with Firebase for real-time data synchronization and secure authentication.
